Private Support and Discussion Groups
The FFCNWT has a private Facebook community. Because we must be cautious about confidentiality, the groups are CLOSED to the public. Our groups are monitored by experienced staff from our office who will be able to assist you. The only way you can access the groups is if you send a request by email to our office. We will then give you the rules and guidelines that we have for the groups and once you accept them, we will add you to the group. The next time you log on to Facebook, anything that is posted in the group will be added to your newsfeed. It's that simple!!

Liability and Legal Defence Insurance
The FFCNWT has been working for a number of years to secure foster parent insurance and now it's here!
Once the Insurance company (Megson Fitzpatrick) receives your information you will be sent a certificate with your policy number. Please keep this as you will need it in order to access support and services from the insurance.
-This insurance is free and available to all foster parents in the NWT
-If you are a couple, the policy is for the home, not separate coverage per person
-Your coverage lasts for the time you were fostering, and covers you for any historical allegations as long as the ffc continues to hold the policy. Please notify us if you are no longer a foster caregiver.
