The Foster Family Coalition is currently accepting applications for The Stay in School Award, the Graduation Award, and the Tutoring Award. These awards are for the 2007-2008 academic year.

The Stay in School Program came about through a financial donation by the Scotia Capital Fund to the Children’s Aid Foundation in Toronto. It was designed to support at risk, disadvantaged children and youth achieve academic success and recognize their current efforts and achievements. The program provides financial rewards to foster children or children involved with social services. The rewards are described below. Since 2005 the Foster Family Coalition of the NWT has been distributing funds across the territory from the Children’s Aid Foundation influencing the lives of more than 70 children and youth. |
